If you use the Site without registering; for example, just to read about our services, we will not collect, store or process any personal data of yours.

In order to register to use this website as a tenant creating a myrentalcv, as a property professional or as an employer, we will require you to supply personal informationand consent to a credit check being carried out on you. In addition, if you are a guarantor for a tenant using our services, we will also require you to supply personal information and consent to a credit check being carried out on you. However, if a prospective landlord requires an additional credit search to be carried out (for example, because a long time has passed since we carried out a credit search for your myrentalcv), we will obtain your explicit consent before doing so. In such circumstances, we will also require that, and obtain your explicit consent for, the credit check to be recorded as having been carried out in your name and not the landlord’s.

    You provide us with information by filling in our forms, or by contacting us by telephone or e-mail. This information may include your name, address, email address, telephone number and other information you choose to provide (for example a profile picture, or personal (identification) documents).

For tenants, this means that we will share your data with third parties where you have consented to our doing so; for example, letting agents and landlords from whom you have rented properties, and employers, in order to gather information for your myrentalcv.

  • to send messages to you from other users. However, your email address will not be visible to other users; we will route their messages to your address.
  • to maintain our records and databases;
  • to carry out statistical analysis;
  • to monitor and evaluate website use; and
  • for administration, accounting, marketing and archival purposes.

We will hold your personal information for as long as you wish us to do so, and as long we need to in order to comply with our legal obligations. You may request for your personal information to be deleted at any time by emailing support@myrentalcv.com. Deleted content may persist in backup copies for up to one year, but will not be available to third parties.

Your Rights

Your right is to request us to not use your personal information for marketing purposes. Use this right by using the unsubscribe link in our marketing e-mails.

The new GDPR law gives you the right to access the personal information that we store. We are also required to send the data in machine or human readable format upon request. Furthermore, if we don’t need your personal details to perform your requested services, you have the “right to be forgotten”. This means that you can request us to delete your personal details. Requests need to be sent to the data officer at privacy@lettingweb.com.
